Eat your tea for breakfast: FruiTEA Granola!
These days, store-bought granola, though pretty and convenient, can sometimes be laden with tons of sugar or less healthy ingredients. So, nothing beats homemade granola! When you make your own, you have full control of what goes into the mix and the process is really simple.
Trust us, try this simple lovely and healthy fruit tea granola recipe and you will have many happy mornings. They serve as great toppings on your favourite cereals, milk or simply munch on its own. We like to make things in small batches but if you feel like making a big batch to last you longer, just double or triple the recipe. Explore and mix up your own flavours and creations, have fun!
30g coconut oil melted
60g maple syrup
7g of 1 pack tea, grounded, we use Iron Goddess tea (No 3, earthy rich aroma
60g nuts and seeds of choice chopped, we use almonds, cashews and sunflower seeds
150g old fashion oats
1/4 tsp seasalt
1 tbsp almond meal (optional, if you prefer more clustery granola)
60g dried fruits, we use cranberries and raisins
Open 1 pack (7g) of Iron Goddess tea and put the tea leaves in food processor,
grind till a powdery form.
In a mixing bowl, put all the ingredients in the list except the dried fruits.
Stir well till all of your oats, nuts and seeds are coated and well combined.
Spread out on a baking tray with a parchment or foil in a single layer.
Bake in oven for 30min. Once baked, removed from oven and let cool.
Stir in the dried fruits.
